I am now into my fourth week of being out of my classroom… and it has been an adjustment. I miss teaching, I miss my classroom, and above all, I miss my students. It has been hard not having breakfast with them every morning, looking at their cute little faces, and interacting with them. I wanted to do something to let them know that I was thinking of them and was missing them and an email just wasn’t going to cut it.
When I was younger, I used to love receiving letters and postcards through the mail. So, I sat down at my computer and made some postcards to send to my students. My goal was to have their faces light up when they got “snail” mail delivered directly to them.
There are 15 different postcards to choose from in this file. These postcards, when printed on thick cardstock, can be personalized on the back and then can be sent the mail. Imagine how special your students will feel when they receive mail from you!
I was worried that the postcards would be too large for a regular postage stamp so I took all 23 postcards to the nearest post office. The postman assured me that one regular postage stamp was enough for each! Hooray! Another thing I was worried about was that they would not be sturdy enough to make it through the mail system. From the feedback I have received from my students’ parents, the postcards arrived in perfect condition and were a hit with their children!
Since I am sure that you are missing you students as much as I am missing mine, I have provided these postcards for FREE! You can find them directly at the I Heart Grade 3 Online Shop or at my TpT Store.
Have a great day!
