Hello everyone! I know that some of you have anxiously been waiting to link up this week – and I am sorry for the delay. As the theme for this week suggests, I am up to my eyeballs in back to school prep – both as a mother and a teacher. It has been a crazy week but I have decided to take this evening to get my post up and running – and hopefully get a peek into what others around the world are doing to get ready for the back to school season!
I, unlike some of my colleagues, am still officially on vacation for another day. I return Thursday morning to being my 17th year of teaching. WOAH! Where has the time gone? For the past few weeks, I have been mentally preparing for my return to the classroom – and have started some of the rituals that go along with starting a new year. My colour printer, laminator, and scissors have been on overdrive as I have been preparing my new classroom decor set in the comfort of my living room. I have been busy making a lot of centres and activities for my new group of kids this summer so I decided to buy a decor set from the very lovely and talented Melanie over at School Girl Style. I love her designs and she has the best eye for classroom decor! Just take a peek at some of the goodies I got in this bundle I picked up from her!
I am so happy to have found this because I will be able to use a lot of the decorations I had purchased for my husband’s 40th birthday party (mason jars, burlap, blackboards, galvanized tubs, etc.) with this decor set. I can’t wait to show it off here when it is completed! Stay tuned!
Our principal did us all big favour by emailing us our personal schedules and class schedules earlier this week! That means that I have had an opportunity to start using my new Erin Condren Teacher Planner! I am so excited! I have been using her Life Planner since July and I love it – so I can only imagine how the Teacher Planner is going to help keep me on track this year! Goodness knows that I could use some help in the organization area!
It seems almost too pretty to write in! Just kidding!
Have a great day!
