December 23 was supposed to be the last day of school before the Christmas Break, the day of the annual JES Christmas concert, the day I would give my students their gifts, the day I would wish them and their families a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year, etc… etc… etc… However, by 6:00 am that morning, I knew that all of that would have to be put on hold. Due to terrible weather and driving conditions, December 23 turned out to be a SNOW DAY. School was cancelled and with that our Christmas concert was put on hold, my gifts had to wait, and my holiday wishes had to be saved for 2013.
Even though school was cancelled and Christmas had passed, the staff and students of JES decided to celebrate Christmas in January! This past Thursday, our school had their long awaited Christmas concert – and the songs, dances, plays and poems were FABULOUS! So many funny, touching, and proud moments throughout the show! The children were amazing! I must give a big thank you to all the parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, friends, and family members who were able to come and encourage their loved ones – especially on such short notice!
For those of you who couldn’t make it, you can check out the Grade 3’s performance of Christmas Gangman Style right here!

Merry Belated Christmas everyone and all my best wishes for you and your family this New Year!
