There were no pirates, parrots, or damsels in distress, but there was a whole lot of fun at JES! The entire school community got to enjoy an indoor/ outdoor treasure hunt in celebration of being back to school. Kinders through to Seniors got the chance to team up, do activities together and help solve clues around the school. A big thank you to Sophie Lemlin, a JES parent volunteer, who organized this fantastic event.
As the children were completely engaged in this activity, I had the opportunity to wonder around and capture some beautiful moments of my students. It’s plain to see that they were having the time of their lives!
Look at those amazing smiley faces!!
The children had a ball solving problems, creating team names, dressing up, running around, and of course, enjoying their ice cream sandwiches after it was all done! It was a great activity for everyone – including the teachers and parent volunteers that came to help out!
We love Back to School at JES! It is so much fun!
p.s. I am adding this wonderful post to Mrs. Beattie’s Classroom blog – she has started a wonderful series this year called a Year of Awesome. This post totally fits in the awesome category so go check her out!
