I want to say a huge thank you to the parents who came to the annual JES Open House that was held Thursday, September 11. It was great to meet you and be able to show you how passionate I am about teaching the 3rd grade as well as working with your children! As well, it even gave me an opportunity to showcase my french public speaking skills – and for that I am grateful! As they say, practice makes perfect!
As always, the children and I worked on a little surprise for their parents! I used my love of photography and my students’ cute little faces to make a wonderful keepsake for all the parents to take home. This is what the parents saw the moment they walked into my class.
And this was what was waiting for them when they took a closer look!
This gift to the parents had a real WOW factor and I totally encourage you all to try it for your next Open House or Meet the Teacher Night. The smiles on their faces was totally worth it. To give you a little piece of advice, please make sure to develop extra copies of photos and buy extra picture frames for those students who have separated parents. That way, your students don’t have to choose who to give the gift to.
For those parents who were unable to attend, I made sure that the photos got sent home in the schoolbags Friday afternoon. If you haven’t checked your child’s bag, now is the time to do it! I would hate for you to miss out on a present that was made just for you!
For those who were unable to attend, I have included the information slides that I showed Thursday night. Have a quick read through them and if you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a message here or in your child’s agenda.
I hope everyone has had a great weekend!
